David Lee Schulhofer

David Lee Schulhofer, age 87, of Waynesville, NC passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. David was born in Haywood County, NC on March 14, 1935 to the late Emanuel Jacob and Mary Hill Schulhofer.

Those who know and loved David, called him "G-Daddy". David graduated from Waynesville Township High School in 1955. During his high school years, he drove a school bus where he met the love of his life. He retired from Dayco after 40 years of service. He was a member and deacon for 28 years of Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Jake Schulhofer, James "Johnny" Schulhofer; sisters, Josephine Cates and twin sister, Betty Golden; son in law, Buster Conrad; and several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 67 years, Norma Burgess Schulhofer; children, Ron (Donna) Schulhofer, Lynn Conrad; Karen (Tom) Albert, Barry (Ann) Schulhofer; grandchildren, Lisa, Brad, Jessica, Megan, Nate, and Joshua; seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church in Waynesville, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church on Saturday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church.
