I will always remember Debbie she was a very special person.she was always coming into Sorrells to talk to all of us she was always happy and full of life.i have missed talking to her lately I mowed away but I kept in touch with Debbie she would call me every couple of weeks just to say she missed seeing me.i am so glad God put me in her path .I will always cherish her and the memories we shared together.my prayers will be with butch and the two boys and Christian.

Butch and Family I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Debbie was one of a kind and your obituary clearly says it all. She will be sorely missed for sure. I remember us as teenagers and yes, the great love that Butch and Debbie had and maintained throughout the years.  The family is large and there will be a big empty place where she once stood. God has welcomed yet another Angel through Heaven's gates. On Monday, August 10th, 2020, Debbie Boyd Satterfield passed away peacefully at her home after spending her last days with her family by her side.
She was born on October 10th, 1951, and was a lifelong resident of the Jonathan Creek community. She was the daughter of the late William Pless "Bill" and Margaret Brendle Boyd.
Debbie leaves behind her husband of whom she shared a strong and special kind of love with, as they had just celebrated their 45th anniversary in April. Also her three children James Satterfield (Kim) , Aaron Satterfield (Crystal) , and Christina. She has eight grandchildren whom have each added even more love into her heart: Maggie (James) , Olivia (James) , John Ryan (Christina) , Bella (Aaron) , Kelci (Christina) , Alexandria (Aaron) , and twin girls Elin and Everly (James) .
Debbie is also survived by her sister, Cathey Boyd, and two nephews, William Carter and Ty Boyd, as well as both of their families. There are many many more cousins, nieces, nephew's, and friends near and dear enough to be loved as family, too.
The family has decided to keep the services private as they journey through this intimate process and difficult time. Thank you.

My heart goes out to my brother Butch and his family.  I have good memories of Debbie being such a cool chic. Always showed me love. Really wanted to be there but circumstances kept me away. Love y'all brother. 

Debbie was a wonderful neighbor, always kind and thoughtful.  She was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand.  Debbie was loved and will be missed.  

My deepest condolences to you all. I have very fond memories of summers and Thanksgivings in North Carolina. Aunt Debbie had a heart of gold and was always fun to be around. I remember when Eddie and I were little, she asked us to go “shuck” the corn by the fence, but us being from up north, thought she said “chuck”, so we threw all the corn over the fence for the farm animals. When we came back she asked what we did with the corn, so we told her we threw it over the fence like she asked. We all had a great laugh about that one. Our last visit to North Carolina she welcomed me, my husband and two step children with open arms. Constantly checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I can still hear the sound of her boots as she walked around the house singing Chicken Fried by the Zac Brown Band. I will miss my birthday twin...until we meet again. Love you, Aunt Debbie ❤️
