Spring Creek-Donna Lusk Hunter, 86, of the Spring Creek Community, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 21, 2016. Donna was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 30, 1929, to the late Banie and Clara Housner Lusk. Donna enjoyed working in the garden and raising her chickens. Most of all, Donna loved to take care of her family.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband Harold Hunter; and a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hunter.
Donna is survived by three sons, Harold, Kenneth (Katty), and David (Donna) Hunter; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, March 29, at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Mars Hill. The body will lie in state for one half hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, March 28, at Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
