Waynesville-Freda J. Davis, 86, died on January 27, 2016, at the John F. Keever Solace Center. Freda was born in Haywood County on January 17, 1930, to the late Jeff and Bonnie Owen Janes. She enjoyed traveling, camping and visiting the Blue Ridge Parkway. In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Davis; a daughter, Dianna Dunn; a son, Jeff “Bodean” Davis; a granddaughter, Candice Davis; several brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, Bob Dunn. Freda is survived by a sister, Dorothy Janes Davis; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Freda’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 31, at Dellwood Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Rogers, Reverend Billy Ferguson, and Pastor Josh Johnson officiating. Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM prior to the service at the church.
