George "Junior" Richard Worley Jr.

Waynesville-George "Junior" Richard Worley, Jr., 43, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 31, 2018. Junior was born in Haywood County on October 10, 1974, to George Sr. and Vivian Downs Worley. Junior was a proud father to his son Dylan. He was also a Harley Davidson enthusiast as well as a Green Bay Packers and Carolina Tarheels fan. George was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and reading. He was a member of Waynesville Masonic Lodge #259. George was also very active for many years with the WNC Football Board.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Griffin Worley.

In addition to his parents, George is survived by his son, Dylan Worley and Dylan's girlfriend, Makayla Pullium; a sister, Janet Palmer; a nephew, Logan Palmer; a niece Holly Palmer; special friend Amanda Shetley; and several members of his late wife's family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 4, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with Pastor Jason Queen officiating. Burial will follow with Masonic Graveside Rites at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Spring Creek. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Saturday, June 2, at Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
