Glenda Diane Franklin Gainor, of Cullowhee North Carolina passed away on September 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Queen, whom she is now reunited with.
Born October 3, 1953, in California, Glenda lived a life full of love with family and friends. She started a life working at the Sylva Herald and was there for many years. She then started working at Western Carolina University in the registrar's office and retired 26 years later.
Glenda enjoyed watching soap operas, concerts and outings with her Aunt Kay and her friend Brenda. Her dog, Dixie, was the highlight of her life.
Glenda is survived by her daughter Amie Snyder(Paul), grandson Kobie Brooks and her stepdad Bill Greene"Big Daddy" and many cousins.
A cookout celebrating Glenda's life will be held next month in honor of her birthday.
