Glennie (Dottie) Johnson Knight

Glennie (Dottie) Johnson Knight Dottie Knight, 91, peacefully passed away August 23, 2015 at her home in Taylor, Alabama with her family by her side. Dottie was born April 12, 1924 in Waynesville, N.C. to the late Russell Alexander and Eliza Una Johnson. She resided in Waynesville, N.C. until 2001 at which time she moved to Taylor Alabama. She retired from American Enka. She was a member of Harvest Church of Dothan, Al. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred J. Knight, daughter, Lisa Knight, brothers, Grady, Joe, and Bill Johnson, sisters, Selma Duckett, Verna Henley and Mary Cox Wilkerson. Survivors include her son, William Knight (LindaKay Phillips) her daughter Elizabeth Faulk (James) and several beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. And a very special friend Francis Knight. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Garrett Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service at the funeral home. Phillip Wyatt will be officiating. Burial will be held at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
