Gloria Jane Thompson Brackett Waynesville, NC – Gloria Jane Thompson Brackett, 59, passed away January 24, 2015 at The Homestead. She was born July 2, 1955 Bill Norman Thompson and the late Billie Marie Blaylock Thompson. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, visiting the flea markets, and spending time with her grandson. She was a 1973 graduate of Pisgah High School and attended UNC Greensboro. She had a beloved Australian Shephard, Daisy and Cassidy the cat. She was also a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Dix Creek. Survivors include, her husband Arnold Brackett; children, Toni Brackett and her significant other Erick Miranda and Tiffany Brackett and husband Chris Rich; grandson, Eli Rich; step mother, Betty Thompson; brothers, Ron Thompson and Gregory Thompson; brother in laws, Mike Brackett and Bruce Brackett; nieces and nephews, Tomi Thompson, Tad Thompson, Jody, Alora, and Sarah Brackett; grand nephew, Cody Brackett; several beloved Blaylock and Thompson aunts, uncles, cousins; and close friends including, Gene Sutton, Ronnie Browning, Trisha and Jimmy Owenby, Bonnie Phillips Lou Parton and Belinda Wall Cable. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
