
1927-2016 Hazel Pleasant Johnson, 89, died on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Murphy Medical Center. Hazel was born in Angier, North Carolina, on January 5, 1927, to the late James and Zora Guy Pleasant. Hazel was a member of Truett Memorial Baptist Church in Hayesville, NC. She cooked the most wonderful southern style meals and loved feeding family & friends. She had a deep passion for family & togetherness. Everyone that knew her received her gift of love & compassion. She was everyone's little Earth Angel in some way. She was born in NC, and moved to FL with her 1st husband, Henry Williams, and 3 children around 1958. She then returned to NC around 1995. Until we meet again, this little lady will be missed. . In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Johnson; son, Gib Williams; daughters, Fay and Kay Williams; brothers, Willard, Clyde, Jackson Lee, and Jimmy Ray Pleasant; and her sisters, Rachel Salmon and Connie Pleasant. Hazel is survived by a son, Ted Williams and spouse, Susan; a daughter, Fran Crosby and spouse, Ron; grandchildren, Ryan Williams, Jonathan Williams and spouse, Courtney Britt, Wesley Williams and spouse, Sue Ellen, Matthew Williams, Canyon Crosby and spouse, Kanlaya, Clayton Crosby, Tira Crosby and spouse, Carlos Camacho; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Olivia and Lauren Williams, Dylan and Aubrey Camacho, Maddox Crosby, Eloise and Remy Crosby; nieces and nephews, Alan Salmon, Wanda and Tammy Pleasant; and many more loved ones. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on May 1, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home in Tampa, Florida.
