Hazel L. Jones Newman, 92, formerly of Clyde, passed away on November 20, 2019. Hazel was born in Haywood County on January 3, 1927, to the late Laura Bertha Jones. In addition to her mother, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 25, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend James Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at Fincher’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Sunday, November 24, at Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
