Helen Juanita McDaniel

Helen Juanita McDaniel, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Helen was born in Haywood County on July 4, 1937, to the late Wade and Vera Price McDaniel.

Helen absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader and worked as a bookkeeper. After retirement, Helen volunteered at Mountain Projects as a Senior Companion.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Aldridge; sister, Jean Richardson; and son-in-law, Richard Davis.

Helen is survived by her sons, Joseph W. Aldridge (Sharon) and Jonny Aldridge; daughter, Julie Davis; grandchildren, Brandon Davis, Kira Davis, Jessie Aldridge, Jadie Aldridge (Chrissy) and Mary Beth Davis; and great-grandchildren, Ricky Tweedie and Nevin Tweedie.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 22, at New Covenant Church with the Reverend Blake Stansbery and the Reverend Karen Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
