Ilse Susie Hooper

Ilse Susie Hooper 1931 – 2016 Ilse Susie Hooper, 84, of Waynesville, NC passed away peacefully, April 27, 2016. She was born in Germany on November 21, 1931 to the late Rupert and Johanna Niebergall Kartarius. She worked for 42 years at Clyde’s Restaurant. She enjoyed going for a car ride and out to eat with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hooper who died in 2008; and sister, Irma Hughes. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Margot (Bobby) Arrington; brothers, Emil, Kurt, Hermann and Hans Kartarius; three grandchildren, Jess Wayne (Mary) Arrington, Penny Arrington (Ron) Morgan, Justin Heath (Elizabeth) Arrington; six great grandchildren, Christopher and Patrick Arrington, Amber and Kylie Morgan, Leah and Grant Arrington; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home with Majors David and Debbie Cope officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
