Ivan McClain Green, age 70, of Waynesville, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at his residence. Ivan was born in Haywood County on July 25, 1953, to the late Rufus "Mack" and Frances Crane Green. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, photography and history. Most of all, Ivan loved spending time with his family. Ivan honorably served his country in the US Navy for 23 years. He and his wife, Janet, operated Saki Sushi in Waynesville for a total of 28 years.
Ivan is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Janet Lu Green; daughter, Abigail Green; brother, Shane Green; and sister, Cindy Way (Chuck).
