Jean Elizabeth Woody Duckett

Jean Woody Duckett “Resident of Spring Creek” Jean Woody Duckett, 88, passed away, Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Autumn Care Nursing Home. She was born on August 6, 1926 to the late Andy and Maggie Woody. She along with her husband Joseph were lifelong farmers and residents of the Spring Creek Community. She was a member of Lusk Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Duckett; daughter, Andrea Duckett Davis; two sisters, Manilla Ferguson and Wilma Kirkpatrick. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Joann Tunstall and her husband, Nelson of Oak Ridge, TN, Mike Duckett and his wife, Karen of Raleigh, NC, David Duckett of Spring Creek, NC, and Charles Duckett and his wife, Kathy of Kernersville, NC; eight granddaughters, Shannon, Allison, Keisha, Kaysie, Korey, Kayla, Laura, and Hannah; four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, May 16, 2015 in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home with the Reverend Greg Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Woody Cemetery on Spring Creek. The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 12 PM until 1 PM at the funeral home.
