Jesse Lester Fowler Jr.

Waynesville-Jesse Lester Fowler, Jr., 90 passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at his residence. Jesse was born in Canton, on March 13, 1931, to the late Jesse Lester Fowler Sr. and the late Nora Reynolds Fowler.

After serving his country in Korea, he earned his Degree in Business Administration at Western Carolina University. He moved with his family to Florida where he worked in Personnel with the Winter Park Telephone Co. He returned to Waynesville in the mid-seventies and worked in Personnel with Dayco Corp. He retired in the mid-eighties and started a rental investment business with his son and daughter.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, and a past member of Waynesville Country Club where he spent many pleasant hours golfing with his son and grandsons.

In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Bob Fowler; and a son, Gregory Jesse Fowler.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy R. Francis Fowler; a daughter, Judith Jane Fowler; a son, Eric Francis Fowler; grandsons, Andy, Adam, Alex and Austin Fowler; and three great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services are planned at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
