Jo Ann Noland

Jo Ann Noland, age 83, born on July 25th, 1940 passed away peacefully at her home at Lake Junaluska-Waynesville.

She was the daughter of John Cordell Noland and Leora Mae Downs Noland. Also preceded in death by brothers, JC Noland, Bill D. Noland; Sisters, Wilma Overstreet, Anna Lee Overstreet, Juanita Coldiron, Mable Manus, Phyllis Damour and Mary Edith Noland.

She is survived by one brother, Mack Noland and several nieces and nephews. She graduated from Waynesville Township High School in Waynesville in 1957. She attended Western Carolina University for 2 years studying, Business. Her nine brothers and sisters were very close. She had fond memories of her brother Mack carrying her on his back to school every day, and her brother Bill carried her books. She loved to read. Her favorite books were Autobiographies of famous people from around the world. She always kept up with world news. She enjoyed buying her groceries every Friday morning. She enjoyed growing flowers, and feeding and watching the wildlife in and around her yard. We Love her and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Maple Grove United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

Burial will be held at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
