1935 – 2016 Joan Lucille DeLaHaye Caldwell, 81 of Maggie Valley, passed away on December 8, 2016. She was born in Daytona Beach, FL on November 12, 1935 to the late Elias and Lois DeLaHaye. Joan worked for 28 years for Mountain Projects, Inc. She loved her dog, Dixie and her many cats. She also enjoyed gardening with her husband. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, James Claude Caldwell; daughter, Susan Cryan; son, James Michael Caldwell; granddaughter, Jessica Burgess; grandson, Nathaniel Slade Cryan; and great grandsons, Liam Nathaniel Cryan and Jacob Burgess.
