Jonathan Glenn Bumgarner, 63, of Waynesville, went home to be with the Lord on September 5, 2025. He was born in Haywood County on June 7, 1962, to the late Glenn Bumgarner and the late Ruby Lee Sherrill Bumgarner. He was a devoted and loving husband to the late Lisa Diane Bumgarner. He was a loving father and a proud Papaw. John was a hard worker, honest and skilled craftsman. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. His grandkids were the light of his life.
He is survived by his children, son, Jonathan Glenn Bumgarner, Jr. and wife Amy, of Waynesville; daughter, Kassie Bumgarner, of Waynesville; brother, Rand Bumgarner, of Waynesville; sisters, Cindy Scruggs (Steve) and Tammy Inman (Harold); and his grandchildren, Hailey Grace, Eliza Ann and Jonathan Lawson.
A Graveside Inurnment will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, September 15, at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
