Johnny Richard Arrowood

Johnny Richard Arrowood passed on September 27, 2026, at the age of 63. He was born in Habersham County on February 5, 1963, to the late Richard and Janet Shirley Arrowood. He enjoyed trout fishing, watching Nascar, Georgia football, the Atlanta Braves, the San Francisco 49ers and WWE. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Arrowood and his mother and father-in-law Raymond and Norma Jean Hightower.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Betty Jean Hightower Arrowood; his daughter, Brenda Taylor-Greene (Kwavon); son, Jonathan Arrowood; sister, Bonnie Cochran (Gary); brother, Fred Shirley; brothers-in-law, David Hightower (Anita) and James Land (Karen); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, who all called him Pappaw; and his special Boston Terrier, Bella.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, October 2, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Joseph Yeary.
