LaMarcia Phillips Messer

LaMarcia Phillips Messer went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 1, 1947 to the late Sam and Thelma Green Phillips.

LaMarcia had a special love for her family. Helping raise her children and grandchildren was one of her greatest joys of her life. She loved painting, arts and crafts, and gardening. Her and her husband enjoyed driving through the mountains together. She was also a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, Charles Phillips and Johnny Phillips.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Howard M. Messer; son, Kenneth Messer and wife, Patricia Ballantyne; daughters, Teresa Muse and husband, Vance and Mary Cashwell and husband, Randy; her twin brother, LaVerne Phillips; sister, Marie P. Warren; grandchildren, Tyler Messer, Christian Messer, Jonathon Messer, Jessica Muse Dippy and husband, Matt, Michala Hall and husband, Carson, Caleb Cashwell and wife, Shawn, and Ivey Cashwell; great grandchildren, Raylan Messer, Alison Cabe, Wyatt Hall, Collins Cashwell and Case Cashwell.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Panther Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Ronald Greene officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow services in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Messer, Christian Messer, Jonathon Messer, Caleb Cashwell, Matt Dippy, Carson Hall, Micah Phillips and Mark Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremiah Rich and Michael Payne.
