“Beloved Husband, Father, & Grandfather”
On Wednesday afternoon October 15, 2014 Lee Bouknight, Jr., age 80, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father. He was born in Edgefield, SC on September 10, 1934; the only son of Lee and Minnie Bouknight, Sr.

Lee was passionate about helping his community. He had a love for mankind and was ever willing to help others in need. He was a member and Trustee of Mount Olive Baptist Church and later attended Jones Temple AME Zion. He was on the Selective Service Board, the Town of Waynesville Planning Board, as well as a Past President and member of the Lion’s Club. He loved vegetable gardening and stream fishing. He also enjoyed acting with the local community theatre and participating as a bit actor or extra for movies when possible.
He is preceded in death by his parents as well as, son, Julius Dalton; and daughter, Florine Thomas.
Lee leaves behind his loving wife Lorine Bouknight; daughter, Patricia Bouknight-Hamilton and husband James; sons, James Howard and his wife Amy and Henry Dalton; and a host of adoring grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The void felt is shared by everyone who had a connection to him. Lee will be greatly missed and remembered by those who were blessed enough to witness his life.
The memory of a good person is a blessing. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
