Leo Allen Quirk

Leo Allen Quirk, age 95, of Waynesville, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023. Leo was born in Woodstown, NJ on April 6, 2027, to the late Thomas E. and Mary E. Smith Quirk. He was one of 20 children and 14 of the sons served in the US Military. Leo was veteran of the US Air Force. He retired from Anchor and Hocking Glass.

In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas G., Walter J., J. Edward, William F., Joseph L., Frank, Robert, Louis, John, Wilbert, Richard, C. Melton Quirk, and Carl Smith; and sisters, Anne E. Bruther, Mary G. Carroll and Eleanor J. Mitchell.

Leo is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Mattie Franklin Quirk; stepson, Kenny Franklin (Melissa); granddaughters, Connie Goode (Michael) and Taylor Franklin (Patrick); great-grandchildren, Silas and Nya Silvers, and Morgan, Britney, and Michael Goode; brothers, Earl and Ralph J. Quirk; sister, Dorothy Basil; special friend, Steve Whiddon and many nieces and nephews.
