Linda Rozella Hill Buchanan

Linda Rozella Hill Buchanan, 83, of Waynesville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026. Born on December 21, 1942, in Waynesville, Linda was a member of North Hazelwood Baptist Church. Linda was a retired teacher's assistant for Haywood County School System. She was known as Mamaw by anyone that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roe and Elizabeth Ruff Hill, and by her beloved husband, Steven Buchanan; brother, Samuel Hill.

Linda leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughters, Angela Phillips and Audrey Best and husband Ricky; her sister, Mary Alice Sisk (Doug); her treasured grandchildren, Paige Green (Cody), Ashley Leatherwood (Sawyer), and Jason Best; her great-grandsons, Braxton Green and Graham Leatherwood; extended family, Jerry Phillips; and her beloved dog, Chili. Her family was her greatest joy, and she was deeply proud of each of them.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Garrett Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. The Reverend Dewayne Rathbone and Ray Clark will officiate. Burial will follow at Buchanan Cemetery.
