Louise Mintz Jones

Louise Mintz Jones passed on June 12, 2026, at the age of 90. Louise was born in Haywood County, NC on October 3, 1935, to the late Rufus and Lucy Rhinehart Mintz. She enjoyed holiday dinners, going to Dollywood, shopping and sitting on the porch. Most of all Louise loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Jones; three brothers and two sisters.

Louise is survived by her daughters, Audrey Green (Kenneth) and Debbie Whitaker; grandsons Brian Green (Jennifer) and Dewayne Pruett (Myra); great-granddaughter, Jade Green; great-grandsons, Noah Pruett and Brandon Russell; and sister, Lucy Messer.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 16, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Dennis Queen officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
