“Beloved Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother” Waynesville, NC – Louise Burgess Kirkpatrick, 83, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017. She was born August 16, 1933 in Haywood County to the late James and Mae Burr Sanford Burgess. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rubin Kirkpatrick; brother, Paul Burgess; great granddaughter, Chloe Kirkpatrick. Left to cherish her memory is her children, Lana Boswell (John), Dan Kirkpatrick, Ricky Kirkpatrick (Elaine), and Mike Kirkpatrick (Teresa); siblings, Betty Burgess, Jean Sutton, Troy “Doc” Burgess and J.C. Burgess; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 1pm in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
