Clyde-Loyd Henry, 83, died on September 10, 2016, at the John F. Keever Solace Center. Loyd was born in Haywood County on February 16, 1933, to the late Roosevelt “Bill” and Grace Parton Henry. Loyd was a huge NASCAR fan. He retired from American Enka with 38 years of faithful service. Loyd served honorably in the US Army and was a member of the VFW. In addition to his parents, Loyd was preceded in death by a brother, Luther Henry; and a sister, Frances Sherrill. Loyd is survived by his wife of 60 years, Josephine Meadows Henry; a son, Steve Henry; two daughters, Pam Arrington (Stan) and Lisa Arrington Surrett; grandchildren, Thomas Arrington (Jennifer), Raven Arrington, and Megan Arrington; special niece, Ann Woolard; and nephews, David and Sonny Henry.
