Margie Caldwell Moody

Margie Caldwell Moody 84, Born on February 21, 1941 and gained her wings Saturday, August 16, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Dennis Caldwell and Helen Moody Caldwell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Odis Harlen Moody; sisters, Peggy Roberts and Carolyn Clarke; and a grandson, David Matthew Rose.

She worked at McDonald’s as a Community Representative, at Haywood Rest Home, and retired from DSS Adult Day. She loved her flowers and watching the birds, loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, great grandkids and her church family.

She loved the Lord and was a member of Sunny Point Baptist Church. She was a Prayer Warrior and would always tell anyone about our Lord and Savior!!

Left to cherish so many wonderful memories are her daughters, Diann Moody, Mary Odis Moody Birchfield (Ronny), and Teressa Moody Nelson (Jason Cates); one son, Dennis Noble Moody (Kaitlyn); sister, Mary Jo Baxter; six grandchildren, Helen “Kat” Moody Harris (Wayne), Odis Lewis Hannah, Samuel Adam Birchfield, Taryn Birchfield Joiner (Alex), Nekole Birchfield, Judy Rose Green; seven great-grandchildren, Eddie Dale Moody, Ryan Green, Sarah Green, Bently Green, Jaxon Beaux Joiner, Charlie Boone, and Sam Still; and lots of loving nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Margie’s Life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Sunny Point Baptist Church with the Reverend Jody Shuford and Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 PM to 2 PM Saturday prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunny Point Baptist Church, c/o children’s fund, 132 Sunny Point Dr, Canton, NC 28716 or to the Radio Ministry at WPTL, 133 Pisgah Dr, Canton, NC 28716.
