Waynesville-Marie Croy, 88, died peacefully on November 22, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born in Gastonia, NC, on November 3, 1926, to the late Robert and Zennie Wilcox Green. She enjoyed watching old television shows and cooking. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, George Croy; her daughter, Mary Nell Fowler; and her brother, Willard Green. She is survived by two sisters, Colene Green and Mae Williams; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 25, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Danny Conner officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Gardens in Summerville, Ga. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
