Marie Hooper Ross

Marie Hooper Ross, 88 passed away in the comfort of her home, with her children close by on December 21, 2020. She was born on July 17, 1932, and was one of five children born to Zeb and Beulah Morgan Hooper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Calvin (Ben) Ross, two brothers and their wives; Wilfred (Elizabeth), Johnny Mack (Donna) her sister, Claudia Lee & husband (Cecil) and her beloved niece Claudia Hooper Clark.

Marie will be remembered for her servant's heart. She spent her life caring for her family and modeling her Christian faith through service to others.

Left to honor her memory are her children, Carolyn Green (Ron), Harold (Brenda Stephens) Daryl (Sharon), seven grandchildren, Samantha Conner, Autumn Macemore, Justin Macemore, Zeb Ross (Ashley) Levi, Shafin and Taylor Ross, great grandson, Aiden Conner, and brother Hoyt Hooper (Cle-Ellen). .

Marie spent her last days in the care of her family and Haywood Hospice and Palliative Care. Special thanks to her nurse, Stephanie Kirton and to Patricia Birchfield for their loving care.
