Mildred Boineau Summerrow

Waynesville-Mildred Boineau Summerrow, 97, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at John F. Keever Solace Center. Mildred was born in Charleston, SC on July 26, 1921, to the late Archie and Lillian Webster Boineau. She was a creative person who could take an ordinary item and make it into something extraordinary. Mildred enjoyed working in her flowers, quilting, crocheting, and sewing. She was very active in her church, Hazelwood Presbyterian. Mildred was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Lawson C. Summerrow; and a brother, Glenn Boineau.

Mildred is survived by her sons, Lawson G. Summerrow and David A. Summerrow; grandchildren, Ashley Summerrow (Jeanie), Kelly Summerrow (Kimberly), and Jennifer Bobo (Gary); and great-grandchildren, Cate, Charlie, and Gabriel Summerrow.

The memorial service celebrating Mildred’s life is at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 16, at Hazelwood Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Patrick Womack officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 pm in the church fellowship hall prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Hazelwood Presbyterian Church Library Fund at PO Box 67, Hazelwood, NC 28738.
