Naomi Worley Mitchell

Waynesville, NC - Naomi Worley Mitchell, 80, passed away Tuesday, November 07, 2017 at the John F. Keever Solace Center. She was born in Madison County, NC on November 21, 1936 to the late Reagan and Emeline Ball Worley. She enjoyed her crafts and playing bingo at the nursing home. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Mitchell; and a brother, Elymas Worley. Left to cherish her memory is her children, Larry Dale (Linda) Mitchell, and Donnie Ray (Janet) Mitchell; sister, Mary (Late Hardy) Coward, Paul (Flossie) Worley, and James (Gertrude) Worley; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, November 9, 2017 in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 12:00 pm to 1:45 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
