Norma Burgess Schulhofer

Norma Burgess Schulhofer, age 86, of Waynesville, NC passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. Norma was born in Haywood County on August 14, 1937, to the late Norman and Gertrude Plemmons Burgess. She was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and she owned and operated Norma's Tax Service for over 40 years. Norma was long standing member of Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, David Lee Schulhofer.

Norma is survived by her children, Ron (Donna) Schulhofer, Lynn Conrad; Karen (Tom) Albert, Barry (Ann) Schulhofer; grandchildren, Lisa, Brad, Jessica, Megan, Nate, and Joshua; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, at Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church with the Reverend Brandon Mendez officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the church.
