Waynesville-Paul Junior Warren, 92 passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehab. Paul was born in Haywood County on January 23, 1929, to the late Joe and Alma Pressley Warren. Paul honorably served his country during World War II in the US Navy. He retired from American Enka after many years of faithful service. Paul was a member of the American Legion Post 47 for 68 continuous years and was the last living Charter Member of the Waynesville VFW Post 5202. He enjoyed working around the house, traveling with his late wife, Frankie Warren, watching NASCAR and watching the Atlanta Braves. Paul volunteered many hours of service to Faith United Methodist Church. Paul just enjoyed family and life.
Paul is survived by his sons, Terry and Greg (Nancy) Warren; daughter, Donna Warren; stepson, Jim Warren (Doris); brother, Richard Warren; 3 grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; 1 great-grandson; 1 step-granddaughter; 1 step-grandson; 4 step-great-granddaughters; 3 step-great-great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
Paul's wishes were to have a private graveside service.
