Priscilla Alice Lindsey

January 31, 1942 – November 20, 2025

Priscilla Alice Lindsey, 83, of Clyde, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025. She was born on January 31, 1942, in Hillsborough, Florida.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Carroll Lindsey; her parents, Ronald Bowers and Margaret Stewart; her sister, Robin Stewart; and her granddaughter, Amber Swindle.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Priscilla is survived by her son, Richard Swindle (Lorrie Ann); daughter, Melissa Swindle Pratt; brother, Roy Stewart; grandchildren, Olivia Sampson (Charles), Elizabeth Pratt, Shaun Swindle (Amanda), David Swindle, Chasity DeMontmollin (David), Chelsey Cruz (Tomas), Jeremy Hageman, Zeb Swindle (Alyssa), and Nicole Crosby; and great-grandchildren, Paisley, Gus, Caleb, Hunter, Justin, Lila, Mackenzie, Colby, Cali, Chloe, Camryn, Kiptyn, Kolton, Mason, Jack, Addie, Brandon, and Caiden.

Priscilla earned her bachelor’s degree and dedicated many years to teaching. She loved gardening, caring for animals, cooking, crafting, spending time with family, and even grocery shopping at Publix. Her warmth and creativity touched everyone who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Garrett Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Crawford/Ray Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Barry Willett.
