Robert L. Lowe Sr.

Crescent City, FL-Robert L. Lowe, Sr., 83, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Robert was born in Swain County, North Carolina, on May 10, 1933, to the late Joshua and Edna Burns Lowe. He retired from the US Army after 28 years of faithful service, included multiple tours in Korea and Viet Nam. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Lowe, Jr.; two sisters, Katie Cooper and Della Mae Lowe; and one brother, Kenneth Lowe. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Virginia Bryson Lowe; a sister, Ruth Beck and her husband, Bobby; a daughter-in-law, Diane Lowe; a granddaughter, Katie Lowe; a grandson, Zachary Putnam; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Mariah. A memorial service celebrating Robert’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, July 12, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Steven Stanford officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
