

Atlanta-Ronald Erwin Cullins, 51, died at his residence after a brief illness. Ronnie was born in Haywood County on October 31, 1965, to parents Frank and Ethel Sellers Burkes. Ronnie was a 1984 graduate of Tuscola High School and was an avid UNC Tar Heel and Carolina Panthers fan. Ronnie was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ethel Sellers. In addition to his parents Ronnie is survived by a brother, Aaron K. Burkes (Valerie): a sister, Alisa Martin (Kenneth); a niece, Nautica Cullins; nephews, Tavarus Cullins and Donald J. Hardy, Jr.; his fiancé, Regina Garrett; aunts, uncles, great-nephews and a host of cousins and friends. A Home Going Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 6, at Jones Temple AME Zion Church with the Reverend W.E. Staley officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM prior to the service at the church and at other times at his parent’s home.
