Roy Eugene Woody

Clyde-Roy (Gene) Woody, 69, of Clyde, died on April 26, 2015, at the Charles George VA Medical Center. Gene was born in Haywood County, on May 21, 1945, to the late Lee Roy and Clearcy Robinson Woody. He enjoyed being outside, camping, and horseback riding. Gene was a hard worker who provided for his family. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by a nephew, Jeff Woody; and an aunt, Bonnie Randall. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Brenda Gaddis Woody; sons, Roger Woody and Greg (Tina) Woody; two brothers, Jack (Mary) Woody and Joe (Frankie) Woody; grandchildren, Rachel, Katlyn, and Kimberly Woody, Jermey Wilson, Timothy and Dominic Putnam; and great-grandchild, Braelyn Grace Davis. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, in the Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive family and friends following the service at the residence of Greg and Tina Woody.
