Sam Bo Brown

Sam Bo Brown “Haywood County Native” Sam Bo Brown, 87, of Mauney Cove, went to be with Jesus, Wednesday, December 24, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born in Haywood County on October 6, 1927 to the late Ike and Lula Greene Brown. He was a longtime farmer and retired from Lea Industries. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by fifteen brothers and sisters. Survivors include his loving wife, Mabel Brown; daughter, Kathryn Palmer; sons, Wayne Brown and his wife Sally and Dean Brown and his wife Deborah; two sisters, Betty Hannah and Elsie Rathbone; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 27, 2014 in the Chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Jerry Nelson and Reverend Mike Cogdill officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
