Waynesville-Sarah Rachel Cunningham, 92, went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2021 at Haywood Nursing and Rehab. Born on May, 21st, 1928, to the late Harley and Cora Reeves Jenkins. Sarah was a native of Haywood County and lived there all of her life. She was a lifetime member of Cove Creek Baptist Church. Sarah enjoyed gardening, cooking and talking with her sisters.
In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by Husband Humphry Cunningham; Sisters Lucy Putman, Alma Long, Edward Jenkins, Margie Allison, Mary Connard, Ruth Ramsey, and Anna Dee Jenkins.
Left to cherish her memory is Son Ricky Allen Cunningham (Vickie); Daughters Dorothy Bermudez (Hector), June Jaeger (Dierk), and Rhonda Fox (Donna); five Grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11am on Friday February 5th, 2021, with Pastor Gary Putman and Jerry Nelson officiating at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
