Stanley Ray Storey

Stanley Ray Storey, 76 passed away on February 5, 2026. Stanley was born on July 25, 1949, in Newnan, Georgia, to the late Johnny and Helen Thurston Storey.

Stanley was an avid musician, playing the drums and guitar. He was a long time member of the Deep South Band. Stanley was diehard Carolina Tarheels fan. He retired from the Maggie Valley Country Club as a security guard after over 30 years of service. He also worked with the Haywood County Sheriff's office. Stanley loved seeing all of his family and spending time with them. He will be missed by his longtime companion, Sadie Sue.

In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his son, Stacey Douglas Storey; and brother, Ronald Phillips.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Faye Norris Storey; children, Jenifer Rogers (Brandon) and Ryan Singleton (Delza); sister, Pat Vetter (Gary); grandchildren, Brittney Bradley (Jacob), Taylor Rogers (Morgan), Chase Cooper (Lexi), Piper Singleton and Rafael Albuquerque ; great-grandchildren, Gatlyn Bradley, Mayla Rogers, Jayce Bradley, Joseph "Joe Joe" Rogers and Jackson Bradley; sister-in-law, Rita Phillips; niece, Amy Ferguson and children; and nephew, Rodney Phillips (Tonya) and children.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 9, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Johnny Parris and the Reverend Greg Cullen officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
