Sylvia Burnette Burnett Wright

“Beloved Mother & Nannie” Waynesville, NC – Sylvia Burnette Wright, age 83, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born in Haywood County on September 14, 1933 to the late Gaston and Ossie Anders Burnette. Sylvia was a longtime member of Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking care of others. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Wright and eight brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memory is her children, Cindy Hannah and husband, Eddie, Roger Wright and wife, Bernice, Debbie Edwards and husband, Gary, and Becky Jenkins and husband, David; grandchildren, Daniel Hannah and Misty James, Will Wright, Amy Wright and Heather Port, April Smith (Chad) and Nathan Edwards (Rebecca) and Paige Jenkins and Alicia Jenkins; ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Pleasant Balsam Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend’s Joshlyn Teague and Bobby Downs. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2017 prior to the service at the church.
