Thad Thomas Henson

Thad Thomas Henson, age 85, of Waynesville, NC passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, September 1, 2023. Thad was born in Haywood County to the late Roscoe Henson and Bonnie Presnell. He worked 31 years and retired from Lea Industries in Waynesville.

Thad was a generous and caring friend to all and was quick with a joke and laugh. He loved children and spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Wayne Henson of Cosby, TN; sister, Ruth Coakley of Del Rio, TN and Mary Lou Carver of Waynesville, NC; Several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be nephews and great nephews, Jimmy Henson, Bob Henson, Brandon Henson, Bo Henson, Buster Smith, Heath Barrett and Thomas Windsor.
