Theodore Walter Rowe

Beloved Husband, Father & Grandfather Maggie Valley, NC – Theodore “Ted” Rowe, age 80, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. He was born on April 22, 1936 to the late John and Evelyn Shields Rowe. Ted served his country honorably in the Marine Corps. He was a retired Police Officer from the Port Authority of NY/NJ following 20 years of service. He later retired from the U.S. Postal service. He was active in genealogy research for his family history. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Rolfe, Bobby Rowe, Tommy Rowe, Jimmy Rowe, and Billy Rowe. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 61 years, Lenora Rowe; daughter, Kathy Gibson and husband, Chris; son, Rich Rowe and wife, Denise; sister, Joan Maze; sister-in-laws, Roberta Rowe, Carol Rowe and Evelyn Rolfe; grandchildren, Jennifer Rowe, Jamie Powers and husband, Dillon, and Ashley Gibson; great grandchildren, Zayne, K.D, Kyleigh, Evelyn, Benjamen, and Skylar.
