Waynesville- Theophilus Walter “Wallie” Camlin, Jr., 72 passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. Wallie was born in Florence, SC on September 4, 1947, to the late Theophilus Camlin, Sr. and the late Sarah Martha Lesley Camlin. He enjoyed being in the outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing, or playing sports. Wallie had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke. He was an amazing cook, especially on the grill.
In addition to his parents, Wallie was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Heather Reid.
Wallie is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Janet Kimball Camlin; daughter, Jessica Bonin (Vic); sisters, Gail Camlin and Sylvia Ashcraft; step-daughter, Kimberly Green (Julian); step-sons, Ryan Newell and Jim Reid; step-grandchildren, Jordyn Newell, Kylie Reid, Lucy Green, Anabel Green; and nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service celebrating Wallie’s life will be held with the Reverend Keith Turman officiating.
