I remember all the times I spent at Pappy and Mimi’s... Pappy and Mimi spent their30th wedding anniversary with my mom and dad, my grandmother Mary Alice Nelson and Donald Eugene Nelson at Mission in Asheville, NC when I was born!!!!

Pappy went with me 4 years ago, when I killed my first hog!!! He was in the woods with me and when I told him I killed the hog, he looked at me with my daddy Ronnie Nelson (Rooster) and said “My gal got her first one” Pappy always said i was always his “Freckle Nose Gal”

When we went camping in Cherokee, NC we always set their camper up first... we always built a fire of the nights and roasted marshmallows, made s’mores and made biscuits on a stick!!!! I loved him so much and always will!!! He was my rock, my soldier, and I’ll never forget all the times I spent at Pappy’s sitting on the front porch listening to the crickets sing at night!!!!

I love you Pappy!!! Always will!!!!
