Vaughn Alfred Hall

Canton-Vaughn Alfred Hall, 96 passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Vaughn was born in Swain County on June 2, 1925, to the late Charles "CG" and Dorothy Vick Hall. He loved attending church at West Canton Baptist where he was ordained as the young deacon at 26 years of age. Vaughn enjoyed working at the church as an RA leader, VBS worker, Sunday School teacher, Trustee, and Treasurer. He also loved visiting the Shut-Ins and hospital patients with his late friend, France Teague. Vaughn retired from Dayco with over 42 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Vaughn was preceded in death by his wife of 76 years, Jonnie Buchanan Hall; brothers, Everett, Virgil, and Edgar; granddaughter, Angie Myers; grandsons, Rusty Clark, Tommy Kuykendall; and a son-in-law, Roger Clark.

Vaughn is survived by his children, Audrey Clark, Yvonne (Charles) Myers, and Rick (Karen) Hall; grandchildren, Becky Kuykendall, Jeff (Karen) Myers, Mike (Anjanette) Myers, Kyndra (David) Mesimer; fourteen great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services for will be held at 2 pm on Monday, April 18, at West Canton Baptist Church with the Reverend Jeff Holder officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at the church. The Teague Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
