

Waynesville-William “Bob” Sutton, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 02, 2015. Bob was born in Haywood County on March 19, 1936, to the late Frank Carver and Oma Sutton. He enjoyed Bluegrass Music, playing cards, telling stories, camping, cookouts, and fishing. Bob was a jovial man with a great sense of humor. He was known for his gardening and truly loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Alice Sutton; a son, Paul Sutton, Sr.; a grandson, Mitch Sutton, Jr.; and a sister, Lucille Clour. Bob is survived by two sons, Rick Sutton and his wife Nancy and Jerry Sutton and his fiancé Sherry Heilman; grandchildren, Eric Sutton, Selena Sutton, and Jacob Riddle; great-grandchildren, Dawson Hannah White and her husband, Jaccob, Paul Mitchell III, and Tommy Hannah; special friend, Jean Hogate; caregiver, Ondrea “Sissy” Seckman; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 5, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend Eric Sutton officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence on Ivy Hills Drive.
