Brett King

King, C. Brett; suddenly on Saturday June 18, 2016, at the age of 59. Beloved husband of Christine Slaughter King (nee Wimmer); dear brother of Stanton “Stan” King; dear son of Charles and Berdette (nee Herring) King of Webster Groves, MO; dear son-in-law of Bill and Joan Thaxton of Farmington, MO; dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many.

Brett was a 1976 graduate of Webster Groves High School and he was an electrician by trade. He was a long-time member of Webster Groves Baptist Church.

SERVICE: There will be a celebration of life on Friday, July 1, 2016, 9:00 am with a service at 10:30 am at Gerber Chapel, 23 W. Lockwood Ave.; Webster Groves, MO with an inurnment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Brett’s name may be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis; 2320 Pine St., St. Louis, MO 63103, www.strayrescue.org
