Gramma Betty Boop,

I know your sweet husband has joined you in a Heavenly place...and we are all so sad to lose him here. I've been thinking of you more since he passed, and I try to take comfort knowing you're together. Yet, I still selfishly wish I could get a warm hug from you as you say "my Honey Punkin". I still want to see Gramps with a big smile and share a cup of coffee with him. I want my kids to know you both, and grow up with you guys the way I was so fortunate to......

I'm missing you, my sweet Betty Boop. You would have been 81 years young today, and celebrating in style. I can imagine your sassy costume jewelry (or perhaps something Uncle Jeff made) and a large, beautiful hat. Your pink, frosted lipstick, and of course a "darling" jacket. You might enjoy a nice dinner before some time at the casino with Gramps? ;-)  
Speaking of...he and I talked on the phone for 11 minutes yesterday! Hard to believe, but really nice. You'd be proud of Gramps. He's holding up okay, but missing the love of his life, of course. 
This world just feels different without you. I'll never be used to it. I love you Gramma.

Lou, I just heard about Betty's death today.  I must have missed it in the paper and ,of course, it would have been so easy for me to attend the funeral at Gerber Chapel. I will always have the memory of Betty in my home and heart.  The wonderful pictures she drawn for my parents, Red & JoAnn Grassi, now hang on my wall, exhibiting her talent and love.  She will be missed, but is now united in Heaven with some wonderful friends!

Grandma Betty- You are loved by so many, and with such intensity. You created such a wonderful legacy with Grandpa Lou, and that will carry on. I am sad we no longer can keep you for ourselves, but I know everyone will do their best to make you proud.

Though losing her is such a lost, the good news is that Betty is finally re-united with Jeff!  I will never forget the kindness she & Lou showed me when Jeff and I were friends at LHS and in April 2013 when my dad died! Please accept my prayers and sympathy, Lou & Lisa!

I'm a friend of Betty's daughter Lisa. Although I didn't know her, I know she was a wonderful mother to my friend and will be greatly missed. I am so sorry for you family's loss.

My sincere sympathy to all the family! I was one of Betty's pledge sisters at SIU,. since I was from B'ville and she was from St.Louis we had much in common and it was such fun.. way back then! Recently I had  called her and we were always going to lunch... but never got there.. really regret that.. but glad we had the good chats!!  Love to all!

Our hearts reach out to you in your deepest sorrow. Betty lit up the room whenever she entered. Her love was ever present. And Betty's love for her great grandchildren was unmatched. My sweet, beautiful Gramma Betty Boop...I still cannot believe you are gone. I never imagined I'd lose you. You've shown me so much love, and I took for granted that one day you would not be a phone call or car ride away. Thank you for the lifetime of wonderful memories. I have some peace in knowing that you have finally reunited with Uncle Jeff, Nana, Papaw, and so many others who have gone before.
