Evert Scott Knight

Scott was loving husband to Nancy Knight & father to Megan Chandler, Aaron Knight, & Katherine Knight. He was devoted brother to Nancy Lindemood & son to Mary Ann Knight & the late Jerry Knight. He was beloved uncle to Bridget & Bonnie Lindemood & great uncle to the late Brooklynn Walker. Also preceding him in death are two uncles and his grandparents, Robert and Ethel Akers and Evert W. and Jessie Knight.

Evert Scott Knight was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and attended Webster Groves High School where his father, Jerry, served as principal. He received his associate’s degree from St. Louis Community College, and most recently attended University of Missouri—St. Louis in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree.

After moving to Columbia, Scott worked at Mizzou where he met and married Nancy on May 25, 1991. For the past 17 years, he worked at SSM Health Care’s Integrated Health Technologies.

Scott’s favorite activity was a Saturday drive in his Camaro. He loved the St. Louis Blues & the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed politics, history, astronomy, spending time at home with his family, and taking his wife to a show at the Fox Theatre.

Visitation will be held at Gerber Chapel on Saturday, July 23 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Memorial speeches will take place at 3:00 PM.
